Larry C. Brobst, 74, of Tunkhannock, died Monday morning at Community Medical Center, Scranton. Born in Tunkhannock on June 30, 1931, he was a son of the late Clark and Freda(Wandel) Brobst.
He was a graduate of Tunkhannock High School and served with the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He held the rank of staff sergeant and later served with the National Guard, 109th Field Artillery. Prior to his retirement in 1996, he had been employed as a machinist for R&H Manufacturing, Edwardsville. He was a member of the Welsh Baptist Church, Wilkes-Barre. He, along with his late wife, Grace Ann, served as a foster parent with Kids Peace, Wyoming County, and was an active volunteer having entertained at local churches and nursing homes.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Ann Brobst, in March 2005, and sister Sandra Clark.
Surviving are five daughters; two sons; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. from the Harold C. Snowdon Funeral Home, 140 N. Main St., Shavertown, with the Rev. Don Hartshorne and the Rev. Charles Bishop, officiating.
Interment will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas.
