LOA – Dale Jay Brown, 53, Loa died Nov. 14, 1988, in Loa of a heart attack.
He was born June 24, 1935, Loa, to LaVor and May Taylor Brown. He Married Verlene Jackson, Sept. 15, 1955, Manti LDS Temple; later divorced.
He was an active member of the LDS Church; served as YMMIA president; home teacher and held the office of elder.
He spent 30 years operating heavy equipment and completed over 30 miles of grade in one summer. He was a pilot and owner of two airplanes.
Survivors: daughters, son, Mrs. Curtis (LeAnn) B Johnson, Richfield; Mrs. Paul (Elizabeth) Pace, Bicknell; Mrs. Durran (Patti) Brian, Loa; Dale Gordan, Midway; 10 grandchildren; father, Loa, brother, sisters: Mrs. Wade (Owona) Grundy, Loa; Mrs. Richard (Myrna) Larsen, Bicknell; Mrs. Royce (Erma) Allen, Bennion; Mrs. Morris (Lois) Parsons, Glenwood. Preceded in death by mother, May, and a brother Freeman Earl.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Loa LDS Stake Tabernacle. Friends may call at Springer/Turner Funeral Home, Richfield, Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday at the Tabernacle in Loa from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Interment will be in the Loa Cemetery.
