Clovis Chavez, age 83, a resident of Tome, NM, peacefully passed away at his home surrounded by his family. He retired from G.E. after 32 years of service. Clovis enjoyed gardening chile, vegetables, and going to the casino. He loved more than anything being outdoors spending time with his grandchildren and family, he always said "Enjoy Life".
Clovis is preceded in death by the mother of his children, Marcella Chavez; daughter, Yolanda Olguin; parents, Eustacio and Maria Chavez; and siblings, Florian, Ruth, Alvie, Erlinda, and Ramon.
He is survived by the love of his life, Dixie Brown; children:
1. Ronnie Chavez and his wife, Mary,
2. Erik Chavez and wife, Lynn;
3. Ramona Torres and husband, David,
4. Judy Saiz and husband, David,
5. Darlene Cordova and husband, Michael,
6. Marlene Chavez;
Also sisters, Carmen and Betty; and brother, Tony Chavez.
Clovis is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 1 great great-grandchild.Sister-in-law, Josie Chavez.
All services will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tome, NM.
