Our absolutely beloved grandfather and husband, Richard Alvin "Rick" Robinson, age 74, of Nichols Hills, Oklahoma, died in his sleep on Tuesday, May 3, 2022. Rick was born to Frances Kohn Robinson and H. Malcolm Robinson on June 28th, 1947. He spent his childhood in the Gatewood community of Oklahoma City and was a devoted member of the Gatewood Elementary School Alligators baseball team. Rick graduated from Classen High School as a champion debater. He and his colleague, Jim Skouge, swept the
state in debate tournaments to win a place in the national debate tournament as juniors in high school. Rick graduated from Yale University with a degree in Sociology and Urban Planning. Following he did graduate work in Sociology at Oklahoma University. In 1972 he and his high school sweetheart, Linna Ruby, were married and would have celebrated their 50th anniversary in June. Rick entered Oklahoma City University School of Law in 1981 when his twin sons began preschool at Casady School. He graduated with highest honors being named to the Order of Barristers and the National Moot Court team. Of all his accomplishments he felt most highly honored to be the adoptive father of his Granddaughter, Keiko Robinson. The last part of his life was spent dedicated to her well-being. Rick was preceded in death by his beloved grandmother, Amy Gerson Kohn, his sixteen year old son, Blake, his brother, Dr. Malcolm G. Robinson, and his father, H. Malcolm Robinson. Left to remember his impact on their lives is his wife, Linna, his granddaughter, Keiko, his son, Josh, his 102 year old mother, Frances, his sisters in law, Susan Laird Robinson and Dorothy Walton, and his brother in law, Gerald Walton. For those of us who love and admire Rick we remember his intelligence, his quick wit and his often too long stories. He was a cinema buff to the extreme. He loved vetting films for the Dead Center Film Festival. Most of all we remember his generosity and his fierce protectiveness for his loved ones.

Memorials may be made to Positive Tomorrows (Oklahoma School for Homeless Children).

A memorial service for Rick will be held Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper Funeral Directors, 6600 Broadway Extension, Oklahoma City, OK 73116.
