H. Malcolm Robinson, 93, died February 17th in Sarasota, Florida. Malcolm was born in Oklahoma City, the son of Jacob and Dora (Fagin) Robinson. He retired to Sarasota in 1998. Malcolm attended Central High School and the University of Oklahoma. He and his brotherCharles owned and operated Robinson Jewelers in Capitol Hill for 31 years. They were pioneers in the extension of credit and direct mailing. He was a member of Temple B'nai Israel where he served as president of the congregation and the Men's Club. Survivors include his wife of 71 years Frances, son Richard and wife Linna, grandson Josh, great-granddaughter Keiko, daughter-in-law Susan and brother Charles and wife Elaine. Other family members include his nephews and nieces Larry Emmer, Michael Robinson, Valerie Robinson-Hill, Sherry Barton, Suzanne Levine and Sharon Cohen and great and great-great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by son Dr. Malcolm George Robinson, grandson Blake Robinson and sisters Ida Lebenson, Bess Emmer and Mary Lee Waintroob. A memorial service will be held at Temple B'nai Israel, 4901 N. Pennsylvania, at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 3, 2011.
