Gladys C. Sherman
Gladys Cain Sherman, 87, of Washington Street in Moorefield, W.Va., died Friday, Jan. 4, 2008, at Grant County Nursing Home in Petersburg, W.Va.
Mrs. Sherman was born July 28, 1920, in Hardy County, W.Va., and was a daughter of the late Arthur and Bertha Cook Cain.
She was a member of the Moorefield Church of the Brethren and retired from Hester Industries after 39 years of service.
Her husband, Charles "Bun" Sherman, preceded her in death in June 1985.
Survivors include a daughter, Wilda Dasher of Moorefield; a brother, Harold Cain of Martinsburg, W.Va.; four sisters; Mildred Shockey, Leona Fitzwater and Trixie Baldwin, all of Moorefield, and Thelma Lang of Winchester; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pastor Matt Lyon will conduct the funeral 1 p.m. today at Fraley Funeral Home in Moorefield, W.Va. Burial will follow at the Olivet Cemetery.
Friends were received Sunday at the funeral home.
