He had been an employee of the CBQ Railroad working for more than fifty years prior to his retirement. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Metropolis American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Thomas and Emma Campbell Huckleberry; two sisters, Nellie Jane and Mary Marie Huckleberry; and a brother, Homer Elmer Huckleberry.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita Singleton Huckleberry; two daughters, Jo Ann Skees and Linda Cremeens; a sister, Ruth Arnett; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
