He was born Aug. 1, 1911, in Johnson County, to Elmer and Emma Campbell Huckelberry. He married Kathryn Hook Sept. 26, 1931, in Metropolis.
Survivors include his wife; his stepmother, Lillie Huckelberry of Vienna; two daughters, Helen Marie Holmes of Plainfield, Ind., and Carolyn Jones of Vienna; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one sister, Ruth Arnett of Lockport; one brother, James of Metropolis; a half brother, Doug of Vienna; and a half sister, Lodene Sharp of Vienna.
