Homer Huckelberry, 72, of Vienna, died at 10:50 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, 1984, in Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, Ky.

Mr. Huckelberry was a retired rural letter carrier.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Vienna, Masonic Lodge 150, Order of the Eastern Star and the White Shrine.

He was born Aug. 1, 1911, in Johnson County, to Elmer and Emma Campbell Huckelberry. He married Kathryn Hook Sept. 26, 1931, in Metropolis.

Survivors include his wife; his stepmother, Lillie Huckelberry of Vienna; two daughters, Helen Marie Holmes of Plainfield, Ind., and Carolyn Jones of Vienna; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one sister, Ruth Arnett of Lockport; one brother, James of Metropolis; a half brother, Doug of Vienna; and a half sister, Lodene Sharp of Vienna.
