Published in Detroit Free Press, Detroit MI, Oct 22, 1956 Monday page 26-- Mrs. Margaret VanSickle- A leader in Detroit social and civic affairs for many years, Mrs. Vansickle of 610 Blaine, died Sunday in William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak. She was 82.
Born in Detroit, Mrs. Van Sickle, widow of William, a prominent Mason, spent her childhood in the family home on Washington Blvd., near Grand River.
She was a member of the Detroit Garden Club, the Detroit Historical Society, the Women's City Club and the Detroit New Century Club.
Surviving are 3 daughters, Mrs. Francis Phelps, Mrs. Charles DeFoe and Mrs. Louis Anderson.
Services will be at 1 pm Tuesday in the Bell Chapel of the William H Hamilton Co, Birmingham. Burial will be in Acacia Park Cemetery,
