Bob Bombard, 72, of North Syracuse, passed away peacefully Friday evening. He was born on November 21, 1949 to Lawrence and Lucille Bombard of Cicero. Predeceased by his parents, and brother, John Bombard. Survived by his wife of 25 years, Diane; his children, Robert (Jennifer) Bombard, Jr., Lisa (Tom Devaney) Iglesias, Jill (Mitchell) Cater-Cyker, and Krista (Robert) Kremin; 11 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, Judy Bombard; sister, Ruth Gillette; brothers, William (Lisa) and James (Carla); many nieces and nephews and his puppy, Charlie. Bob was an avid fan of all things cars – NASCAR, NHRA, street rods, car shows, and rebuilt a 1929 Ford Model "A" from the ground up. Bob loved his family dearly, and will be missed by all. Donations can be made to Humane CNY. Calling hours will be Monday May 2, from 11am-1pm at Sears Middleton Mathewson Funeral Home with a service to follow at 1pm. Burial at North Syracuse Cemetery to follow for immediate family.
