The BIO for Dorothy's mother Elsie on her FaG memorial (#5215765) provides documentation regarding her daughter, Dorothy. Additional information is provided here.
Dorothy Amelia Anderson was born on Sep. 20, 1913, in Tacoma, WA , the daughter of Harry Anderson and Elsie Sophie Hoerling. Dorothy's birth certificate was originally recorded as "Unnamed Anderson". She had her birth record corrected on Jul. 28, 1975, listing her given name as 'Dorothy Amelia Anderson'.
Dorothy's parents were married in 1913 but were later divorced. In 1916 Dorothy's mother Elsie married Antone Christian Adolphsen, and in 1920 Dorothy's father Harry married Jennie Hendrickson.
In 1920, Dorothy, age 6, was living with her mother and step-father, Antone Adolphsen, in Union, WA. By 1930 Dorothy, age 16, was living with her father and step-mother Jennie in Seattle, WA. Then, in 1940 at the age of 26, Dorothy A. Anderson married Julius Warren Baker in Lewis County, WA.
In 1943, Julius enlisted in the military. He and Dorothy and their two children were living near his parents in Clark County, WA, in 1950. Julius and his father Freemont were carpenters who also worked in the timber industry. Julius died in 1991 and is buried in Forks, WA.
For some reason, Dorothy's maiden name was listed as 'Adolphsen' instead of 'Anderson' on her husband's 1991 death certificate. According to Genealogy Bank, Dorothy died in Bremerton, WA, in 2007. Hopefully she is actually buried near Julius in Forks, WA.
