Norman R. "Pete" Adolphsen, 71, Winlock, died Friday, February 4, 2005, at Providence Centralia Hospital, as the result of heart failure. He was born on January 6, 1934 to Anton C. and Elsie S (Hoerling) Adolphsen in Chehalis, WA and had been a lifetime resident of Lewis County.

He was raised on the family farm on Pleasant Valley Rd, and was active in 4-H raising many animals including poultry and rabbits. he also enjoyed gardening and working in his flowers.

He attended Adna schools, graduating from Adna High School. He had also been a member of Newaukum Grange, attaining the seventh degree level. He enjoyed square dancing with the Logan Hillbillies. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. In his later years, he enjoyed talking on his C.B. radio with long haul truckers.

Survived by: three sisters: Louise Ford, Centralia, WA, Dorothy Baker, Forks, WA, Eva Colvin, Sacramento, CA; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Lawrence, Eugene, Bobby, Julius, and Albert and his sisters, Beulah Holmes and Margaret Huhta.

His family would also like to thank Bonnie and Ed Slaymaker for their care and friendship for the past 5 years.

As per request there will be no services held, and cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Newell-Hoerling's Chapel. Pete will be placed with his parents in Mt. View Cemetery at a later date.

Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
