Removed from Hutchinson Cemetery to Oak Ridge Cemetery in February 1877 and buried with his mother Permela who died that month. He was born in Kentucky and died in Springfield, IL, of typhoid fever at the age of 19y 9m 2d.

Obituary: (Illinois State Journal, Springfield, IL, 14 Oct 1862)

Died, in this city, on Sunday, the 12th inst., Wm. V. Ingels, aged 19 years and 8 months. The funeral will take place on Tuesday morning, at 11 o'clock, from the Methodist Episcopal Church. The deceased was a member of Capt. Wilson's Company, (114th regiment, Col. Judy.) The friends and acquaintances of the family are invited to attend.
