Sandra Davis

Sandra (Shiner) Davis of Vernal passed away Saturday October 23, 2021. She was born Jan. 17, 1947 in Vernal, Utah, to Deward H. Shiner and Ella Gurr Shiner.
She graduated East High School in SLC in 1965. Attended LDS Business College. Married Robert "Bobby" Reigan June 24 1966. They adopted a precious baby boy. Robert Chancy Reigan was 7 days old and the most beautiful baby. Chancy as he was called, was the love of his mother. Bobby passed away April 9, 1980.
Sandra married Martin Spencer Davis Sept. 17, 1981. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Vernal Temple, June 20, 1998.
If you ever attended movies at the Vernal Theatre, you were sure to see her there. Her father and uncle built the Vernal Theatre, it opened April, 1946. She started working there when she was 12 years old. Every other week, Sunday thru Saturday. After her father died in a car accident in 1973. The three Shiner children Bryce, Brent and Sandra became the owners of the Vernal Theatre and Sunset Drive In. Sandra and Brent worked them and Bryce did the taxes. Jan 1, 1984 the 3 partners bought the Tri-Cinema. After 55 years of working at the theatres Sandra retired Jan. 1, 2015. Selling her 1/3 interest to Brent.
Sandra was a member of the LDS faith and worked hard at her many callings. She enjoyed visiting teaching most of all. Working in the Primary, junior Sunday School, cub scouts and Relief Society Secretary were all faithfully done.
Traveling south in their motorhome for a couple weeks every winter was great fun. She loved to read, knit and crochet. She enjoyed working on puzzles of any kind. Sandra enjoyed her card games every other week.
Spending time with family and friends was what made her life worthwhile for her. She loved to cook a meal and have friends and family over.
Sandra is survived by her husband Spencer, step sons Donald Davis and Troy Davis Tacoma, Washington. Two brothers Bryce (Susan) Shiner, Broomfield, CO. and Brent (Renee) Shiner of Vernal. She dearly loved all of her nieces and nephews and 3 step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bobby Reigan, son R.Chancy Reigan and a stillborn daughter ShawnDel Reigan.

Service will be held Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Uintah Stake Center (4080 S 2500 W) with a viewing 1 hour prior and Friday from 6-8pm at the Mortuary.
