Marian Burton Sheridan Vandenberg was born June 20, 1938 and passed away on April 18, 2022 at the age of 83.

She was the second of five children born to James Charles Burton and Gertrude Marian Dana. Marian lived with her parents on 17th street in Ogden for most of her childhood, traveling on occasion with her family when her father left to find work elsewhere.

Marian married the love of her life, Frank Roland Sheridan on June 29, 1955, in the Logan Utah temple. They lived in Ogden for a short time, before settling in Roy. Frank's employment required them to live in California, Illinois, Montana and North and South Dakota. Marian and Frank wanted children early in their marriage and were blessed with four. Together, they taught their children to work hard, play hard and love big. Marian taught her children to pray and love Jesus. It was a common occurrence for her children to see her kneeling in prayer. Her legacy is one of love, service and faith as demonstrated in the lives of her children. Marian was a talented homemaker. The Christmas season was particularly delightful because Marian hand dipped homemade chocolates.

Frank passed away in 1990 changing Marian's life forever. Six years later, she married her long-time neighbor and friend, Richard Vandenberg. Marian and Richard loved to travel. They were always on the move in their RV exploring this wonderful world. They loved to spend time as snowbirds in St. George.

Preceded in death by her husband Frank , her parents James C and Gertrude Marian Burton, sister Joan Mohr, husband Richard M. Vandenberg. She also leaves behind her Vandenberg family and they will also miss her.

Marian was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2018 and she spent the last years of her life in the Sunridge Assisted Living Center in Roy. During those years at Sunridge, she taught us how to be grateful and love unconditionally.

Interment Roy City Cemetery.
