s/o Benager Peace and Elizabeth "Betts" Fuson Peace (both buried in Peace Memorial Cemetery. He married Ellen Minerva Peace (1846-1886) on May 31, 1867. They had the following children:
Lafayette Fate Peace (1873-1918)
William Peace (1875-?)
Benager Hays Peace (1876-1917)
Mary Elizabeth Peace (1880-1964)
Martha Ellen Peace (1886-1957)

He then married Sarah A. Sharp (1866-1902) on July 17, 1886. This union brought forth eight children:
John Bascum Peace (1887-1963)
Thomas F Peace (1888-1978)
Nancy A Peace (1890-1974)
Henry C Peace (1892-1958)
Elbert LeRoy Peace (1894-1973)
Sydney Peace (1900-1958)
Nora Peace (1896-1899)

On Oct. 18, 1904, he married Nancy Perkins Myers (born 1867 in Tennessee).
