San Horton Capps, age 90, resident of Gillham, died Saturday, July 8, 1989 in
De Queen Community Hospital. Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in Valley Cem. with Rev. Joe Denton officiating and under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home. He was born Oct. 17, 1898 in Sevier Co. and was a retired timber worker. Survivors include one son, Jimmy Capps, Little Rock; three daughters, Dorothy Phillips, Ben Wheeler, Tex., Alva Williams, Anchorage, AK. Hazel Lee, Lawton, Okla; two brothers, David Capps of Springdale, Ar., and Emerson Capps, Kansas City, Kan; five sisters, Anice Bass, Hot Springs, Lanor Capps, Tulsa, Okla. Gertrude Capps, Corpus Christie, Tex. Naomi Byers and Vera Callaway, Longview, TX; nine grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren.
