Everett Jesse Maggard, 84, of Springdale, Arkansas, died January 8, 2008 at his home. He was born March 14, 1923 at Venus, Arkansas, the son of Andy and Ollie Pruitt Maggard. He was a farmer, a logger, an airplane mechanic and a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-one years, Ora Bell McChristian Maggard on September 9, 2007. He was also preceded in death by two sons, Larry Maggard and Gary Maggard.
Survivors include: one brother, Dale Maggard of Witter, Arkansas; four sisters, Velma Porter of Witter, Arkansas, Ruby Myers of Rogers, Arkansas, Jean Easley of Gravette, Arkansas and Jessie Allred of Springdale, Arkansas; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A. M. Saturday, January 12, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home in Huntsville with Chance Bryant, Minister and the Reverend Porter Bryant officiating. Interment will be in the Venus Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home www.brashearsfuneralhome.net of Huntsville, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be: Mike Maggard, Mark Maggard, John Maggard, David Greer, Terry Ward and Steve Leichner. Honorary pallbearers will be: Chad Maggard, Chad Pennie, Ryan Leichner, John Leichner, Wayne Robbins and Doug Robbins.
