Daughter of Richard N. Rhodes and Ida Mae Ferris. Wife of Carl E. Varnell (married 7/17/1938 in Enid, Garfield County, OK). She was ordained by Ministry Living Way Ministerial Association in 1954. She authored two songs ("Forever I'm Yours Dear" and "Give Me One More Chance Before We Part") and a book ("Bread for the Hungry by Hearing His Voice"). She was survived her husband and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and an extended family of friends. Funeral held 1/11/2008 with The Rev. Kenneth Biggs officiating.
