On last Thursday November 27th 1902, at the residence of T. J. Macredie,
occurred the marriage of Miss Ella May Dewater to Mr. James Macredie.
At precisely one o'clock the Wedding march was begun by Miss Agnes
Macredie and the Bride and Groom presented themselves before
Rev. Blakeslee, who proceeded in a most impressive manner to unite
the twain as one. At the conclusion of which congratulations from many
relatives and a few of their nearest friends followed. A magnificent dinner
which had been prepared was beyond description for excellency and style.
The bride is a young lady of refinement and possesses the necessary
qualifications to preside as queen of the newly made household.
The groom is a model young man esteemed by all who know him.
A neat cottage,-to be built just across the road from his father's place,
will soon be erected and there they will be at home to their many friends
in the near future. A number of valuable and useful presents were given
the young couple and special mention is made of a quilt presented by
Mr. Macredies' grandmother Jamieson, she being ninety years old and
has just completed the quilt. It is needless to say that quilt will be a
treasured remembrance.
