Lyle Bennion Nielsen returned to her Heavenly Father on May 4, 2004.
She was born to Ira Wainwright and Ellen Mackay Bennion in Taylorsville, Utah. She married Owen Martinus Nielsen January 10, 1948, who has preceded her in death.
Lyle was highly regarded as a secretary in the Granite School District. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
One of her great joys in life was watching her grandchildren grow, two of whom she helped raise. Lyle was the smallest person with the biggest heart. She is survived by her children, Joan (Lamont) Heaps, Mark (Elaine), Jay (Deanna); brother, Spencer (Karen) Bennion; 15 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Julee Bowers; nine brothers and sisters.
In lieu of flowers, take a friend to Wendover.
