Elizabeth is the first child of William Skelton and Jane Simpson. She married Henry Jaques in 1855 in England. (Henry Jaques 19 April 1828 – about 1861 Family Search ID #2Z3B-PVS ) They became parents to two children: William Thomas and Mary Jane. The family immigrated to Utah in 1860 as a member of the Daniel Robison Company. They lived in Logan. Shortly after their arrival it is believed that Henry died.
Elizabeth married John Oley December 28, 1862 in Logan. They became parents to four children: John J, Robert Skelton, William E, and Elizabeth. They moved to Malad City, Idaho about 1870 and then on to Idaho Falls by 1880 where John died in 1890. Elizabeth died of pneumonia in 1920.
