Mr. Cox was born September 24, 1921. He was a resident of Reidville, SC until March of 2005, when he moved to Palm Harbor for health reasons. He was the son of the late William Aaron and Ellen Wilson Cox. During World War II he served in the United States Army. He retired from J.P. Stevens and Life of Virginia. For 41 years, he served as a Commissioner of the SJWD Water District and during many of those years he was Chairman of the Board. Mr. Cox was a devoted member of Sharon United Methodist Church, serving as a Sunday school teacher, church treasurer, and member of the Administrative Board.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Cox was preceded in death by a sister, Lois Cox Boyter.
