A native of Spartanburg County, daughter of the late W.A. and Ellen Wilson Cox, she was a retired employee of Kmart and a member of Sharon United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Ken and Linda Whittaker of Greer and Ray and Teresa Whittaker of Fort Mill; three daughters and sons-in-law, Jan and Earl Seymour of Middleburg, Florida, Kim and David Anderson of Greenville, and Carol Hooper of Greer; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Whittaker was predeceased by a brother, W.E. Cox and a sister, Lois Cox Boyter.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday at Sharon United Methodist Church, conducted by Rev. Bryson Williams.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held 1:30 until 2:45 p.m. Friday at the church.
The families are at their respective homes.
