She was born Sept. 21, 1905, in Amsterdam, N.Y. to William and Della (Moore) Fonda. Their ancestors had come to this country in 1632.
Mrs. Bork received her early education in Amsterdam where she had worked as a teller at Montgomery Savings and Trust.
She married John Bork on May 23, 1931; they moved to Butte in 1940. Mr. Bork had operated Bork Poster Service in Butte for many years.
Ethel was a woman completely devoted to her family. She enjoyed bowling and loved sunsets and beautiful scenery.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Harry Fry of Kalispell, Judy and Darryl Scott and Linda Knievel, all of Butte, and Robert Knievel of Florida; sons and daughters-in-law, Dick and Virginia Bork of Great Falls and Bill and Arlene Bork of West Jordan, Utah, and Bob Bork of Salem, Ore.; 18 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Ruth Bork of Harlingen, Texas.
She was preceded in death by husband, John Bork on Nov. 19, 1972; son-in-law, Rev. Robert Craver in 1993; and by grandson, Kevin Craver in 1996.
Private family graveside services will be in Mountain View Cemetery. Friends are asked to join with her family for memorial services at 2 p.m. Saturday in Mountain View Methodist Church with the Rev. Su DeBree officiating. A reception will follow in the church's social center.
