Life-Long resident of Keating Township
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock for Judd Stickles, lifelong resident of Keating township. The services were conducted from the home of Mrs. Miller Stickles of the Ormsby Road with the Rev. F. Willis Chase of the Evangelical United Brethren Church officiating. Interment was Lade in Rose Hill cemetery.
Mr. Stickles who had been ill the last two weeks succumbed at the home of Mrs. A. L. Mosher early Saturday morning.
The deceased was born April 3, 1873, and his parents were the late Hiram S. and Hannah Card Stickles. He had spent his entire lifetime in the vicinity of Smethport with a greater part of it being engaged in farming. His wife Dora Cleveland Stickles predeceased him about two years ago and their only son, Almond, was killed in an automobile accident several years ago. Survivors include a niece Mrs. William A. Dibble of East Smethport and a nephew Leroy Stickles of Indianapolis Ind., and a grand nephew Ardon H. Hyde. Pallbearers were Allen Hyde, George Oviatt, Robert Oviatt, and Leo Hackett.
