Fran Stone, 81, of Fairfield, the loving wife to her husband for over 42 years, passed away suddenly in St. Vincent's Medical Center on March 30, 2022 with her family by her side.

Born in Tarrytown, NY to the late Francis and Mabel Donaldson, she was a graduate of Marymount Prep School and received a B.A. in Math and Economics from Marymount Manhattan College and a Master's degree in Psychology from Bridgeport University. Prior to her retirement, she was a Consultant for over thirty years in Technical Training and Development.

Fran was a strong, independent woman who loved her family and her career. She was a lover of traveling, the arts, particularly classical music. She also enjoyed exploring museums and viewing the works of art. Among her other activities, she served as the Chair of the Board of Trustees at Southport Congregational Church.

Fran was always interested in all life had to offer, continually learning and educating others.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two children and four stepchildren; three cherished grandchildren and seven step grandchildren; and her brother. Fran was predeceased by her brother, George Donaldson.
