"Home and County News - Mr. L. W. Cline, whose illness was noted last week, died in Youngstown City Hospital at 10 o'clock Thursday morning of appendicitis. His age was about 45 years. He was well known in Canfield where he lived for several years. One daughter, Mrs. Frank Frederick of Loveland, survives him."

"Berlin Center - Many of our citizens attended the funeral of Lewis Cline at Canfield last Sunday. He was born in Berlin township. He leaves many friends in this vicinity."
"Home and County News - The funeral of L. W. Cline, whose death in Youngstown was noted last week, occurred Sunday. After brief services the remains were brought to Canfield and Rev. Wm. Dickson pronounced the funeral sermon in the Presbyterian Church. A special train brought nearly 600 friends to the deceased from Youngstown. He was a member of the IOOF, K of P, Jr. and Sr. OUAM and K of GE, and 300 members of the order were in the procession to the cemetery. The floral tributes were many and beautiful. The remains were placed in the receiving vault in the village cemetery."
