Frank D. Acosta a wonderful husband, father, and a funny grandpa passed away on March 14, 2022, in Albuquerque, NM at the age of 68.
Frank is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Anna Marie J. Acosta of Bernalillo, NM, daughter, Rose Mary Acosta-Ortiz and her fiancé, Chris Serna of Rio Rancho, NM, son, Daniel F. Acosta and his wife, Diane Ortiz Acosta of Rowe, NM, grandchildren, Isiah P. Acosta and his fiancée, Johanna Scoggins and Makayla M. Acosta and her fiancé, Justin Porter and great-grandchildren, Joe Henry Acosta De Herrera III, Jayla Raelene Porter, Micah Scoggins and Drevin Porter.
Frank was preceded in death by his father, Redolfo G. Acosta, mother, Petra Acosta and brothers, Raymond Acosta and Anthony Acosta.
Frank was born on April 25, 1953 in Albuquerque, NM to Rudolfo "Rudy" G. Acosta and Petra Acosta of Corrales.
Franck graduated from West Mesa High School in Albuquerque in 1973. Frank married the love of his life, Anna Marie J. Ortiz on August 30, 1974 in Corrales, New Mexico. The couple welcomed two children into their home. His children remember him as a kind and caring father who encouraged them to pursue their goals.
Frank worked as an asphalt operator, wood worker (cabinets) and home builder. Frank loved life and would make people laugh with his sense of humor. Frank enjoyed playing the guitar since he was nine years old, hunting, fishing, and working on cars. Frank cherished spending time with family and friends.
Frank was an active and dedicated member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Bernalillo, NM and St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Rio Rancho, NM. Frank played his guitar for a year in the church choir.

A rosary will take place at 10:00 a.m. followed by a mass at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Rd., Rio Rancho, NM. An interment will take place at 12:15 p.m. at Vista Verde Memorial Park, 4310 Sara Rd. SE, Rio Rancho, NM. A reception will he held at the Parish Hall Reception at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church at 1:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Isiah Acosta, Makayla Acosta, Chris Serna, Michael Tafoya, Rick Pimentel and Robert Pimentel. Honorary pallbearers will be Diane Ortiz Acosta, Brian Edwards, Carlos Gallegos and Dave Serna.
