Journalist and Producer. She worked for the independent investigative website news outlet, "The Insider." She previously worked in Russia and in Warsaw, Poland, for magazines, Radio Liberty and Belsat. She also worked for the Russian opposition leader Alexey Navalny's Anti-Corruption Foundation as a creative producer and editor-in-chief until the organization was designated "extremist" by the Russian authorities. She later left Russia after it became too dangerous and went to the Ukraine where she got caught up in the Russian invasion. She was killed along with a civilian while on assignment in a bombing during the 2022 Russian Invasion of Ukraine while filming the site of a Russian rocket strike on a shopping center in Kyiv, Ukraine. She was the fifth journalist to be killed during the war. Her final assignment post read, "10th day of the war. I have no words of encouragement for all of us other than these," she then showed a photo of a poster at a bus stop in Russia showing the death mask of the dictator Joseph Stalin.
