Theudebert I, King of Metz (c. 500-547) son of Theuderic I, King of Metz/Austrasia (485- 534) and Suavegotha(549), the dau. of Sigismund of Burgundy.

He was the grandson of Clovis I, King of the Franks of the Merovingian Dynasty, and possibly Evonchilds of Cologne, who was either an earlier wife or mistress of Clovis I.

He was killed by a bison, while out hunting.

His children were:
Theudebald. by his wife Deuteria

His sister: Theodechild (dates unknown) She was the founder of Abbey of St-Pierre-le-Vif at Sens
