Leon Robert ''Bob'' Bagby, 71, Overbrook, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at United Methodist Church in Overbrook. Burial will be in Twin Mound Cemetery with military services conducted by Brown-Leonard-Woodward Post No. 391 of the American Legion.
Mr. Bagby died Saturday, Sept. 12, 1998, at his home in the Twin Mound area northeast of Overbrook.
He was born March 21, 1927, in Eudora, the son of Leonard and Ada Kurtz Bagby. He attended schools in Eudora.
He served in the Army in 1951.
He farmed and managed a dairy operation in the Twin Mound area.
He was a member of the Lutheran church, Mid-America Dairy Assn., Brown-Leonard-Woodward Post No. 391 of the American Legion at Richland, Twin Mound Grange and had served several years on the Twin Mound grade school board.
He married Phyllis Arlene King on Aug. 6, 1950, at Richland. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include a son, Steven W., of the home; three daughters, Pamela L. Faust, Overbrook, Robin E. Smoot, Topeka, and Cheryl A Dixon, Tecumseh; a brother, LaVerne Bagby, Hoyt; two sisters, Rita Heine, Lawrence, and Ruby Peaslee, Perry; and five grandchildren.
