Sports Broadcaster. An early personality for the ESPN cable network, Massengale assisted with making the network a national success. After studying at the University of Georgia, he became ESPN's youngest sports anchor in 1985. During the course of his career, he covered the PGA, the Boston Marathon, NASCAR and the NFL. Additionally, he will be remembered for his decade-long work as an analyst for the Los Angeles Lakers along with James Worthy.
