Glenn Edwin Bond, 87 of Taylorsville, MS passed away from his earthly home to his heavenly home on Friday, March 11, 2022, at his home in Taylorsville surrounded by his loving family. He was born Thursday, March 22, 1934, in Weir, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church in Taylorsville, Mississippi.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church. The burial will follow in Fellowship Cemetery in Taylorsville, Mississippi. Brother Brian Means will officiate. Special music will be provided by Mrs. Janice Henderson and Mr. Charles Yelverton. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Taylorsville is in charge of arrangements. 601-785-6564

Mr. Glenn was a devoted and faithful member of Fellowship Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. He was member of the Taylorsville Volunteer Fire Department for over thirty years. He was a retired employee of Southern Pine after thirty-five years. After retirement, he enjoyed working in his yard and gardening, hunting, and most of all spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by all of his loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, Eddie Bond; father, Arthur Bond; mother, Eva Bond; brothers, Derwin Bond, Grady Bond, and Gerald Bond; sisters, Carolyn Bond Edwards, Sue Bond Huffman, Myrtle Bond Irving, and Doris Bond Weeks.

Survivors include his loving wife of sixty-six years, Jan Yelverton Bond of Taylorsville, MS; daughter, Kim Bond Sullivan of Taylorsville, MS; grandchildren, Lane Wiley and William Wiley both of Taylorsville, MS; and a host of other family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be Donnie Chennault, Charles Yelverton, Darrell Temple, Bill Temple, Kenny McDaniel, and Mitch Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Taylorsville Volunteer Fire Department.
