December 2007. Mary and Voight, standing beside the Yellow 2008 Corvette that was just purchased in her name as a Christmas gift from her husband. The salesmen said it was a first for them to sell a corvette to a blind person (or any car for that matter). They made her promise not to drive it. Wrong!!! She drove it back and forth on her driveway. And the plans were that after the holidays, Jerry would take her out to the desert flats and let her drive her car. She never got to do it.

1997... Mary and her first guide dog and 'son', Frazier.
When you look at this photo, it's hard to believe that she is totally, 'cave dark' blind. But she is.
