Marzie Pauletta Dawson, 76, of Luray, died on Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2018, at Skyview Springs, formerly MontVue Nursing Home.

She was born on July 7, 1941, in Mississippi and was a daughter of the late Paul James Morris and Myrtice Odell Monroe Morris.

Marzie was a member of the Church of God.

On Feb. 14, 1987, she married Richard A. Dawson, who survives.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters, Leita Carol Mullins and Renina Dell Norris; a son, William Letcher Boggs II; two stepdaughters, Patricia Darlene Pack and Katherine Ann Hannigan; a sister, Beverly Dean Dunn; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Ann Frost; two brothers, James Floyd Morris and Walter A. Morris; a granddaughter, Courtney Alexis Boggs; and a grandson, William Jacob Boggs III.

A funeral service was conducted on Monday, March 5, at the Bradley Funeral Home by the Rev. Jennings Wood and the Rev. Gary Wood. Burial was in the Beahm's Chapel Cemetery in Luray.
