Mr. Laratta was born in Raritan and lived in Plainfield before moving here 30 years ago. He was employed in the maintenance department of Union Carbide Corp. for 27 years.
He leaves his widow, Mrs. Rose De Cuollo Laratta; three daughters, Mrs. Judy Keane of Scotch Plains, Miss Evelyn Laratta at home and Mrs. Edith Scritelli of Little Ferry; five sisters, Mrs. Angie Mormile, Mrs. Elsie Cornetta, Mrs. Jeanette Faturos and Mrs. Edith Stuffert, all of Plainfield, and Mrs. Francis Urciuoli of North Plainfield, and a granddaughter.
Funeral services are Saturday, April 15, 1972 at 9 a.m. from the Rossi Funeral Home in Scotch Plains. Funeral mass at St. Bartholomew Apostle Church at 9:30 a.m. with internment at St. Mary's Cemetery in Plainfield.
