Elsie R. Larsen, age 73, of Council Bluffs, passed away March 4, 2022 at Bethany Lutheran Nursing Home.

Elsie was born March 28, 1948 in Anthon, Iowa to the late Arlo and Violet (Blankenship) Butcher. She graduated from Logan-Magnolia High School in 1966. Elsie was a homemaker and worked at the Council Bluffs Care Center for many years and Bingo King.

In addition to her parents, Elsie was preceded in death by her husband, Wendell Larsen in 2013; stepson, Carl Larsen; sisters, Doris (Ray) Broderson, May (Bob) Lanegan; brothers, John, Ron and Junior Butcher.

Elsie is survived by her daughters, Tamala "Tammy" Caddell of Council Bluffs, Teresa (Brian) Yochum of Red Oak, Iowa; grandchildren, Justin (Haily) Yochum, Brian Yochum, Jr., Heather (Harry) Newlon; several great grandchildren; stepdaughter, Amy (Mike) Stack of Storm Lake, Iowa; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Visitation with the family, Wednesday, 5-7 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel. Funeral service, Thursday, 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment Woodbine, Iowa Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to American Heart Association or the Diabetes Foundation.
