She was born October 28, 1945 in Jonesboro, Arkansas to Joseph and M. Opal (Binkley) Brownswell. She married James W. McGlothlin September 10, 1959 in Pocahontas, Arkansas. He preceded her in death May 18, 1989.
Surviving are four daughters, Teresa (and Jeffrey) Nelson of Altona, Illinois, Shari (and Phil) Naugle of Abingdon, Illinois, Melanie Gray of Marble, North Carolina, and Patty (and Danny) Smith of Galesburg, a half-brother, John (and Alisha) Rice of Mesa, Arizona, eleven grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, James A. McGlothlin.
Diana graduated from Pocahontas High School in 1963. After moving to Abingdon, Illinois, she worked for Maytag Manufacturing Company in Galesburg. She later, was a cook for Knox County Nursing Home and other establishments. A career that she loved to do. She was of the Christian Faith. She enjoyed reading, cooking, and gardening, especially growing her flowers. She loved spending time with her family and shopping with her daughter, Teresa. She had a love of animals especially her Poodle, "Bear".
A private graveside service will be Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at Abingdon Cemetery. Memorials in Diana's name may be made to Knox County Humane Society.
