William Charles "Charley" Pool was born in 1884 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Thomas and Alice Pool. He was half Choctaw.
He was an award winning country musician. He played the banjo and the fiddle.
Using the alias Charley Jones, he married Eula Gober in Reserve, New Mexico on August 10th, 1918 by the Justice of the Peace.
Charles and Eula had three sons Charles Poole, Maurice Robert Poole, and Donald Thomas Poole. The E was added on to the end of Pool sometime after son Donald was born as Eula did not want the family name to be associated with pool halls.
Charles passed away in 1942. His death certificate states his occupation as Boiler Maker. He was cremated.
