Dorothy E. Lane, 84, of New Bloomfield, died on Wednesday, January 29, 1997, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City. She was born March 11, 1912, in Blytheville, Arkansas, the son of James H. and Dorothy Arletta Edwards. She married Ewing Walter Lane on February 9, 1930 in Jefferson City. He died on February 12 1974.** She was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church in New Bloomfield. Survivors include five daughters, Rita Renoe and Joann Cain, both of New Bloomfield, Sonja Phillips of Ashland, Twyla Nistendirk of Springfield and Terry Cremer of Rolla, one sister, June Nienhueser of Jefferson City, twelve grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren.** She was preceded in death by four grandchildren and three brothers. Services will be at 10:00am on Friday at the Debo Funeral Home in Holts Summit. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Hopewell Baptist Church Building Fund.
