Etta Butler Sullivan Mayberry passed away December 31, 2007 in Logan, Utah. She was born June 1, 1914 in Manard, Idaho. Etta was the eighth of eleven children born to John Lowe Butler II and Bertha Malvina Thurber Butler. One brother survives her: Dr. Jack (Marge) Butler, Portland OR.

Etta was raised in Idaho and lived most of her adult life in Utah (Salt Lake City, Layton, Hooper, Ogden and Logan). She worked as a bookkeeper and Office Manager. Etta had two marriages, Horace W. Sullivan and Charles Richard Mayberry. Both preceded her in death. She filled an LDS Mission to Florida, and spent a lifetime of devotion to the LDS Church.

She is survived by her children, Wendall (Marian) Sullivan, Paradise, UT; Mike (Carol) Sullivan, Holladay, UT; and Anne Mortensen, Eugene, OR; a daughter-in-law, Joan Mayberry, Ogden, UT; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son, Rex Lee Mayberry; a son-in-law, Boyd Mortensen; and a great-great granddaughter, Alexandria Nelson.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 4, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Myers Roy Mortuary Chapel, 5865 South 1900 West where family will meet with friends from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, West Weber Cemetery.
