Rita K. Brockway, 66, of Bluffs passed at her home, surrounded by her loving family, Sunday, Feb. 6, 2022. She was born, Sept. 29, 1955, in Jacksonville, the daughter of Donald and Leatha A. Sandman Hutton. She married, William "Bill" L. Brockway, Feb. 2, 1974.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Bob and James Hutton and sister-in-law, Dianne Hutton.
Rita was employed by L&H Insurance in Bluffs for 30 years. She was a member of the Bluffs Legion Auxiliary, St John's Lutheran Church in Bluffs and served on the town board for the Village of Bluffs. She loved to visit the beach and spend time with her grandchildren.
A service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, 2022, at the Daws Family Funeral Home in Bluffs with interment in Fairview Cemetery. A visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2022, at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
