Elsie Pruitt Turner, 86, of 91 Elvin Durham Road, Pelham went home to be with The Lord, Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, March 5, 2022, at Reidlawn Cemetery with Brother Mark Foster officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, March 4, 2022, at Wilkerson Funeral Home from 6:00 – 8:00 PM and other times at the home.
Elsie was born in Alamance County to the late Thomas and Pearl Pruitt. She was a diligent homemaker and worked hard on the farm with her husband tending the garden and working with the animals. She attended the Church of God of Prophecy on Thomas Street in Reidsville. Elsie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Napoleon Junior Turner, III; daughters Lisa Turner and Sandra Fuqua; son Napoleon Junior Turner, IV; and all of her brothers and sisters
She is survived by her children Joyce Gravley, Vickie McCraw, Joseph Turner, Robert Turner and James Turner; 17 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 1 great great-granddaughter; and a large extended family.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Reidlawn Cemetery to help cover the expense for her permanent grave marker.
