Donna Darlene Arledge Stewart, 79, of Hillsboro, passed away Monday, Feb. 28, 2022.
She was born June 12, 1943, in Hillsboro, the daughter of the late Mable Wilkin Arledge Campbell and Wilbur Arledge Sr.
Donna was a member of the Samantha Free Will Baptist Church. Donna and her husband, Ed, owned and operated their own greenhouses for over 20 years.
She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years of marriage, Edward Thomas Stewart; her son, Edward Thomas Stewart II and partner Pamela Cox Shoemaker; her daughter, Julia Marie Neu and partner Brian Dillon; 14 grandchildren; Edward and Savannah Stewart III, David and Crystal Stewart, Tasha Morris, Nathan and Brittany Shoemaker, Michael and Krista Neu, Caleb and Jessica Guelich, Nicole Collins, Chad and Bethany Bell; 16 beautiful great-grandchildren; lifelong friends; and a dedicated faith community. She will be deeply missed, but her loved ones are comforted knowing she is painting and singing with Jesus.
In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Lynn Haines; her brother, Wilbur Arledge Jr.; her sister, Sherry Rae Spence; and numerous beloved cousins.
Visitation will be held Thursday March 3, 2022 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Funeral service will be held Thursday, March 3, 2022 at 1 p.m. following visitation at the Turner & Son Funeral Home. Brother Wiley Perkins of Samantha Free Will Baptist Church will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Leesburg. Reception will follow at Highland Hills Community Center, 6739 Inverness Ct., Hillsboro from 2-5 p.m.
