"Mrs. Mary E. Houseal, 69, of 40 W. High St., Elizabethtown, died Wednesday morning at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill, after a lengthy illness. She was the widow of Paul B. Houseal, who died in 1968. She was a member of Women of the Moose, Chapter 701, Elizabethtown; Moose College of Regents, a life member of Academy of Friendship, and served as the chapter recorder for more than 23 years. She was also a Democratic committee woman for 45 years. Born in Middletown, she was a daughter of the late Clinton A. and Lillie Mae Keyser Strauss. Surviving are two brothers and two sisters: the Rev. Charles W. Strauss, Highspire; Oliver P. Strauss, Pocono Summit; Beatrice, wife of Charles A. Shaffner, Harrisburg; and Carrie E., wife of Edwin Byers, Middletown."
