Charles W. Strauss, 80, of 198 Penn St., Highspire, died Wednesday in Community General Osteopathic Hospital.
He was retired from Bethlehem Steel Corp., Steelton; a graduate and past board member of Harrisburg School of the Bible; a former lay minister at West Fairview Bible Church; and was a member of Grace Bible Fellowship Church, Lower Paxton Twp.
Surviving are his wife, Lavon H. Strauss; three sons, William E. of Harrisburg, Donald C. of Jonestown, and Stephen A. of Lower Swatara Twp.; two daughters, Audrey J. Siegfried of Hershey, and Roberta A. Schmidt of Highspire; a brother, Oliver P. of Mount Pocono; two sisters, Beatrice Shaffner of Harrisburg RD, and Carrie Byers of Highspire; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1: 30 p.m. Monday in his church. Burial will be in Highspire Cemetery.
Viewing will be from 12: 30 to 1: 30 p.m. Monday at the church.
The Knight Funeral Home, Highspire, is handling arrangements.
