Larry Nance
Des Moines - Larry Nance, 83, passed away on August 20, 2021. He was born on December 19, 1937 on the family farm southwest of Panther in Dallas County to Leonard and Mildred (Shaeffer) Nance.
Larry worked as a truck driver for Mid America Recycling and most recently retired from Calvin Community. During his time at Calvin Community, he made many friends and developed close relationships with the staff and residents. He will be remembered for his wit, constant grin, kind nature and always having a story ready for willing ears.
He is survived by (INFORMATION INTENTONALLY LEFT OUT OF ORIGINAL OBITUARY DUE TO PERSONAL LIVING RELATIVES.) several cousins, nieces, nephews and extended relatives.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Norman Nance; and brothers-in-law, Tom O'Dell and Danny Porter.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Highland Park Christian Church, 4260 NW 6th Dr., Des Moines. The church respectfully requests all visitors wear masks. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 pm on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines.
