"Mrs. Evelyn D. Morrison, 77, Kansas City, Kan., died Thursday at a nursing home at 7541 Switzer St., Overland Park. She was born in Lowry City, Mo., and had lived in this area most of her life. Mrs. Morrison was a clerk for the U.S. Postal Service for 25 years before she retired in 1969. She was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church, Kansas City, Kan. She was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees and the Gladiola Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was president of the Bethany Senior Citizens Club. She leaves a son, William K. Morrison of Prairie Village; a brother, Joseph J. DeLozier of Kansas City; and three granddaughters. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Porter Chapel; burial in Memorial Park Cemetery, Kansas City, Kan. The family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society."
