"Mrs. Dorothy D. Sims, 72, of 4720 Virginia, died today at St Mary's Hospital. She was born in Adair, Okla., and had lived in Kansas City 40 years. She was a member of the Paseo United Methodist Church. Mrs. Sims was a member of the Mendias Chapter No. 1 of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Kansas City Assembly No. 4, Social Order of beauceant. She leaves her husband, Thomas H. Sims of the home; a son, Thomas E. Sims of 126 N.E. 43rd; a daughter, Mrs. Carol Stearns of McLean, Va.; two brothers, J. J. DeLozier of North Kansas City and C. V. DeLozier of Bella Vista, Ark.; and a sister, Mrs. Evelyn Morrison of Kansas City, Kansas. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Freeman Chapel; burial in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Gladstone." The Kansas City Star, November 14, 1974
